JW Marriott Marquis Dubai has announced the return of Indian restaurant Rang Mahal to its collection of award-winning dining destinations.
Located on the 4th floor of the world’s tallest five-star hotel, the contemporary Indian restaurant known for its authentic dishes has seen many guises in recent years, but now returns with a fresh new Rang Mahal experience for 2021.
Translating to mean ‘Palace of Colors’, Rang Mahal offers North and South Indian delicacies in a grand setting where ornately carved wooden pillars rise skywards, past floor to ceiling windows presenting mesmerising views over the Dubai Canal.
Celebrating India’s diverse flavours and alluring aromas, the new menu will showcase Jain, vegetarian and traditional recipes, alongside curries, biryanis and tandoor cooked meats.
Creating a menu of timeless delicacies from the Indian subcontinent, Chef Alok Kumar, along with his culinary team, led by Chef Moritz Neumann, present minced lamb kebab, Mangalorean ghee roast prawns and Iaked whole lamb leg as signature dishes for diners to enjoy.
Speaking of the return of the restaurant, Nick Patmore, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai’s Hotel Manager, expressed, “Rang Mahal was such a hit in the market as it bridged the gap between a fine dining Indian experience and an affordable, hearty Indian meal. We aim to recreate this offering by bringing back a popular, tried and tested concept, a casual Indian restaurant in an elegant setting. However, the new Rang Mahal has expanded its culinary diversity and will focus on offering traditional dishes and also appease the ever-growing demand for Jain food, which is sometimes hard to find in the city.”
Rang Mahal will open for reservations from the end of September and will also host a ‘Battle of the Chefs’ featuring two internationally renowned chefs in October.
