Winter in the UAE is fleeting, which is exactly why it feels so good. The temperature dips, the air turns crisp, and suddenly the city moves at a gentler pace — slower mornings, longer walks, and an actual reason to wrap your hands around something warm. Right on cue, ABC Roasters has released its new Winter Menu. The inspiration is Japandi — Japanese depth meets Scandinavian simplicity — and it shows in every detail: clean flavours, quiet indulgence, and a sense of calm that feels intentionally crafted rather than seasonal for the sake of it.
The drinks are where the story really begins. Tea-based profiles, soft aromatics and comfort classics are reworked with ABC’s signature polish. The Hojicha Blondie Latte leans into roasted Japanese hojicha for nutty, toasted warmth, lifted with grated nutmeg and finished with ABC’s roasted white chocolate sauce — plush, layered, and unapologetically cosy. For something brighter, the Cucumber Shiso Lemonade delivers a crisp refresh: sencha cold brew with cucumber and shiso, finished with a sparkling edge that cuts through the season’s sweetness.
Then there’s the standout: the Palo Santo Latte. Condensed milk is infused with palo santo sticks to draw out woody, creamy notes, then finished tableside with a mist of tea-tree perfume — a true sensory moment.
Food-wise, the menu keeps that same Japandi balance: nourishing, minimal, and quietly indulgent. The Scandinavian Breakfast Plate pairs soft-boiled eggs with furikake alongside cheese, butter, sourdough and berry jam — comfort with precision. The Garden Salad brings seasonal freshness with radishes, figs, tomatoes, avocado and mixed greens, finished with a sharp, citrusy yuzu dressing. For dessert, you’ll want to linger over either the Apple Tarte Tatin — caramelised apples on buttery pastry — or a silky Ricotta Cheesecake that rounds out the experience without feeling heavy.
