Get set for world-class tennis in Dubai.
The UAE has long been a home ground for world-class sporting events. And one of the biggest fixtures on its calendar is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship, which is back to excite fans again, promising thrilling action as tennis legends from across the globe descend on the emirate.
Taking place from 15 to 28 February 2026, the city’s longest-running professional tennis event opens with a WTA 1000 week from 15 to 21 February before the ATP 500 takes over the following week.

Started in 1993, the tennis championship has grown into one of the most prestigious tournaments on the global tennis calendar. With its unique back-to-back format, it hosts both the ATP 500 and WTA 1000 events, making it a two-week tennis extravaganza. Over the years, the championship has welcomed legends like Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Dubai-based Sania Mirza and many more.
This edition marks the 26th anniversary of the women’s tournament and the 34th anniversary of the men’s event, underlining the championship’s place on the global tennis calendar and in the city’s sporting story.
As a WTA 1000 since 2023, Dubai routinely attracts the sport’s elite, so expect many of the top 20 women to compete, with the chance to see World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, six-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek, American prodigy Coco Gauff, and reigning Dubai champion Mirra Andreeva taking to the courts in the early rounds.

Tournament Director Salah Tahlak, who is also Deputy Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, added perspective on the field. “We saw the depth of women’s tennis this year in Dubai as Mirra Andreeva came through a field that included nine of the world’s top 10 women and 16 of the top 20 to become, at the age of 17, the youngest WTA 1000 champion in history. We are confident of having incredibly strong line-ups across both the women’s and men’s tournaments once again and anticipate another fortnight of fantastic tennis.”
Tickets for the event are available now. Regular-priced tickets start from AED 65 and go up to AED 990. The early bird discount is available for a limited period only.
So if you’re an ardent tennis fan or just looking to enjoy a good game, the championship offers edge-of-your-seat moments, plenty of courtside drama and two weeks of nail-biting matches
