Grab your moonwalking shoes. For one night only, Dubai Opera will transform into a dancefloor of nostalgia in honour of the King of Pop. Taking place on Sunday, 7 September, Michael Lives Forever promises the world’s biggest Michael Jackson tribute show. The show is a full-scale spectacle led by Rodrigo Teaser, a global sensation paying tribute to Michael Jackson. Watch him channel Michael Jackson’s energy, voice, style, and larger-than-life stage presence while performing Michael Jackson’s greatest hits, from Beat It and Billie Jean to Smooth Criminal and Thriller.

La Bohème: 18 to 20 September 2025
La Bohème returns to Dubai Opera with the full sweep of Puccini’s romance and ruin, delivered by the prestigious Hungarian State Opera. The production emphasises scale and detail, and the orchestra carries the familiar melodies that have moved audiences for over a century. The story of Rodolfo and Mimì remains devastating in its simplicity. Love sparks, poverty intrudes, and sacrifice becomes inevitable. Beethoven’s The Fifths: 21 September 2025
The Hungarian State Opera Orchestra pairs Symphony No. 5 with Piano Concerto No. 5, widely known as the Emperor. The Fifth Symphony opens with that four-note figure that still jolts the air, then drives forward with fierce logic and hard-won triumph. The Emperor Concerto answers with poise and grandeur, its solo lines unfolding with nobility and lyrical calm. Grease The Musical: 24 October to 2 November
It’s time to get automatic, systematic and hydromatic because Grease The Musical is coming to Dubai Opera. Most people will know Grease, thanks to the 1978 movie of the same name. The film stars John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing and Jeff Conaway. Set in the 1950s, it first shows Danny and Sandy having a summer romance. They part ways and then find themselves in the same school, Rydell High School. The score includes Grease Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Summer Lovin’, and You’re the One That I Want. Get ready for some spectacular singing, dancing and a dose of summer loving.

Adding a touch of Arabic glam to Dubai Opera is the region’s beloved singer, Elissa, who’ll perform on 3 November. Promising a show to remember, the Queen of Emotions will bring her signature soul-stirring vocals to the iconic venue. For those unversed, Elissa is one of the Arab world’s most iconic artists. Hailing from Lebanon, she rose to fame in the early 2000s and quickly became a name to be reckoned with in contemporary Arabic pop.
