Pop princess Pixie Lott is coming to Dubai. To mark the relaunch of PizzaExpress Live JLT, she will be performing at the reopening of the venue. Taking place on 27 April, tickets are available now and here’s what you need to know.
Pixie, real name Victoria Louise Lott, hails from Bromley, London. As she was born prematurely, she was nicknamed pixie and this inspired her stage name. She attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, and appeared in West End productions as a child. When she was 18 years old, she released her debut single, Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) and it reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.
Pixie’s hits include All About Tonight, Kiss the Stars, Nasty and What Do You Take Me For? In 2016, she starred onstage in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. In 2017, she appeared as a judge on the singing competition, The Voice Kids UK. Over her career, she has won an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Push Act and Best UK & Ireland Act. She has been nominated for BRIT Awards, NME Awards and Q Awards.
PizzaExpress started in London, United Kingdom by Peter Boizot. In 1965, it opened on Wardour Street, Soho and drew inspiration from Naples’ pizzas. In 1999, the first PizzaExpress opened in Dubai, and in 2013, PizzaExpress opened in JLT. The JLT venue is famous for its jazz nights, which welcomes performers from around the world.
