Kullu: 7 July 2024

Kullu, also known as Aaditya Kulshreshth, brings his "Smooth Kullu Smooth" show to Alliance Française in Oud Metha for one night only. With his razor-sharp wit and an endless stream of relatable anecdotes, Kullu has established himself as a comedian who transforms the mundane aspects of middle-class life into humorous tales beyond India's borders. Kullu has performed over 500 stand-up comedy shows across India, but his fame extends beyond the stage. His debut stand-up comedy video on YouTube garnered an impressive 2.8 million views. He's also made his mark on television, winning MTV India's Comedy Base Camp and featuring on popular TV shows like "Good Night India" and "India's Laughter Champion." The show takes place on 7 July at 7:30pm, and tickets start at AED 100.

Dame Joanna Lumley and Paul Chowdhry: 6 October

Dubai, here's some news that will make you smile. The British comedians Joanna Lumley and Paul Chowdhry are coming to the city. The pair are scheduled to perform at Dubai Opera on 6 October, and tickets are available now. On 6 October, Dubai Opera will host Joanne Lumley's "Me & My Travels" show, where she will share eclectic adventures from around the globe, including never-before-heard stories. The evening will also feature actor and comedian Paul Chowdhry. The most successful British Indian stand-up comedian in history is known for his stand-up special “Live Innit”, which became a global sensation on Amazon Prime, reaching audiences in over 200 countries.

Nigel Ng: 7 October 2024

Nigel Ng, popularly known as Uncle Roger, will be bringing his Haiyya World Tour to Dubai. The comedian shot to fame in 2020 with Uncle Roger, a character he played in his videos. Uncle Roger was presented as a middle-aged Asian man who reviews cooking videos with a mix of humour and critique. He's also critiqued dishes by famous chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, and several others. Beyond videos, Nigel also hosts the popular podcast Rice To Meet You, which discusses Asian culture. He's currently working with Gordon Ramsay's studio for a feature film and an animation series based on his famed character, Uncle Roger. Ardal O'Hanlon: 19 October 2024

Dubai can't get enough of the charmingly dim-witted Father Dougal McGuire, and the upcoming show by Ardal O'Hanlon at Theatre by QE2 is proof. The Irish star will take the stage on 19 October as part of his "The Showing Off Must Go On" tour. Known for his roles in the sitcom Father Ted and the BBC crime drama Death in Paradise, and recently seen on Would I Lie to You, O'Hanlon is a versatile actor, comedian, and author. As the son of a politician, he has made a name for himself with material that reflects on the real world, so expect plenty of stories, observations, and anecdotes about the absurdity of life this October. Romesh Ranganathan: 25 October 2024

The British comedian Romesh Ranganathan will be headlining Coca-Cola Arena. The show takes place on 25 October, and marks his debut in Dubai.  Romesh had a sell-out tour in 2022, and is now bringing his new show The Hustle to Dubai. The show explores the human condition, and asks the big questions. Are humans inherently good? Is charity positive? And what are the keys to success? Romesh is of Sri Lankan heritage and was born in Crawley, West Sussex. He was originally a mathematics teacher, and went onto become a performer. He previously performed as a freestyle rapper, and was called Ranga. He then switched from rapping to telling jokes.

Matt Rife: 27 October 2024

Matt Rife is bringing his ProbleMATTic World Tour to the capital, guaranteeing an evening of laughter and surprises on 27 October. From clever wordplay to hilarious interactions with the audience, no topic is off-limits for this comedic genius. Am American comic and actor who hails from a small town near Columbus, Ohio, Rife's journey to comedy stardom is as relatable as it is inspiring. His self-produced comedy specials, including Only Fans and Matthew Steven Rife, have garnered millions of views on YouTube, while his Netflix special, Matt Rife: Natural Selection, has received critical acclaim and topped charts around the world. Jake Lambert: 9 November 2024

Jake Lambert is bringing his The Sunshine Kid to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Dubai on 9 November. The tour examines how he tries to navigate through everyday life, and his fears of being normal. He has previously supported Michael McIntyre on tour, and notched up more than 150 million views online. He has also appeared on shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Great British Bake Off and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. Plus, he has a weekly podcast called Make It Better, which shows him and Jeremy Flynn picking a different topic and discussing how they would make it better.
