Dubai’s rooftop party spot welcomes an international chart topper to its 75th-floor stage.
Five-time Grammy-nominated artist Akon will headline an exclusive night at Privilege, SLS Dubai on Sunday, 2 November. Set 75 floors above the city, the high-rise venue promises a sky-high celebration with a front row view of the Downtown skyline and a soundtrack led by one of R&B’s most recognisable voices.
Born Aliaune Thiam and raised between Senegal and the United States, Akon is the singer, songwriter and producer behind a run of era-defining hits. Expect sing-along moments to “I Wanna Love You,” “Lonely,” “Right Now (Na Na Na)” and “Smack That,” alongside a career that has seen collaborations with Eminem, Lady Gaga and David Guetta. With more than 35 million albums sold and accolades from the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and World Music Awards, he remains a fixture of global pop culture. Away from the stage, his entrepreneurship and philanthropy include Akon Lighting Africa, which has brought solar power to communities across the continent, and the long-term vision for a sustainable Akon City in Senegal.
The evening starts at the Burj Khalifa Terrace from 8pm with a pre-party that sets an upscale tone. Terrace access is priced at AED 250 per person and includes two select beverages, food from live grill stations and pass-around canapés, plus club entry for pre-purchased ticket holders. Those looking to dial things up can book VIP terrace tables with Champagne service and prime views across the city.
From 11pm, the action moves into Privilege Club. DJ Ona opens the room before DJ Slim pushes the tempo, building the energy for Akon’s live set. The finale belongs to DJ TMak, who will keep the dance floor moving into the early hours. Entry is AED 200 until 12:30am and AED 300 thereafter. VIP tables start from AED 5,000 and are fully redeemable against the night’s spend.
