BLU Dubai continues its run of stellar nightlife performances.

Continuing its run of stellar nightlife performances from the world’s biggest talents, BLU Dubai, the nightclub on the 32nd floor of V Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, will host a performance from British rapper J Hus this October.

Born Momodou Jallow in East London, J Hus is a pioneer of the UK’s afroswing sound, blending rap, dancehall and Afrobeats with superb swagger. He broke through in 2015 with the mixtape The 15th Day, powered by viral singles “Dem Boy Paigon” and “Lean & Bop.” His debut album Common Sense (2017) became a critical and commercial landmark, earning Mercury Prize and BRIT Award nominations and introducing a fluid, melodic style that felt both streetwise and global. The follow-up Big Conspiracy (2020) debuted at No. 1 in the UK, confirming his star status.

In 2023 he returned with Beautiful and Brutal Yard, home to the summer smash “Who Told You” featuring Drake, a top track that underlined his crossover reach while keeping his unmistakable cadence front and centre. Among his most-loved tracks are “Did You See,” “Spirit,” “Must Be,” “Play Play” with Burna Boy, and “Repeat” with Koffee. Raised in Stratford and shaped by freestyle culture, Hus turned conversational storytelling into chart energy, influencing a new wave of British artists while staying elusive, inventive and impossible to imitate.

BLU Dubai offers stunning views of the city skyline, combining opulent interiors with state-of-the-art technology to create a fully immersive VIP experience in a captivating, multi-level venue.

The venue continues to captivate the city’s nightlife scene with its run of celebrity shows. Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Jadakiss, Kanye West, M Huncho, Rick Ross, Trey Songz and YG have all performed at the venue in Al Habtoor City in recent years. It recently expanded from clubs to hotels, with the opening of the BLU Oasis resort.

If you’re looking for more music events in the UAE, there are not just mega festivals but mega artists coming to the country. Upcoming concerts include Travis Scott at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on 15 November, John Legend at Emirates Palace on 31 December, and Maroon 5 at Atlantis, The Palm on 31 December.
