The acclaimed restaurant comes from The Dorchester in London.
The first Dorchester Collection hotel in the Middle East has brought together blockbuster chefs, Insta-worthy views and the first Dior Spa in Dubai. Located in Business Bay, The Lana – Dorchester Collection is about to add another exciting dining destination to its culinary repertoire: China Tang Dubai.
Like its counterpart at The Dorchester Hotel in London, the arrival marks a major culinary milestone for the region and an elegant evolution of the concept originally founded by the late Sir David Tang. The Dubai outpost spans two floors with seating for 180 guests and features two private dining rooms. The interiors are a nod to the golden age of 1930s Shanghai, elegantly interpreted through chinoiserie flourishes, custom stained-glass panels, mirrored ceilings, and handpicked objets d’art. It’s a space that celebrates timeless luxury with a distinctly modern edge.
Leading the kitchen is Chef Li Zhenjun, whose 25 years of Cantonese fine dining experience anchor the menu. Diners can expect a curated selection of China Tang signatures, including Sir David’s Hot and Sour Soup, Kung Pao Prawns, Xiao Long Bao, Crispy Shredded Beef, and the legendary Signature Beijing Duck, carved tableside and roasted in a purpose-built duck oven visible from the restaurant entrance. New Dubai exclusives such as Foie Gras Cherries, “Da Hong Pao” Lamb Cutlets, and Poached Spotted Coral Grouper in Spicy Sichuan Oil add flair to a menu steeped in heritage and innovation.

Beyond the food, the experience continues at the elegant cocktail bar where ambient lighting and yin-yang-inspired design set the mood for pre-dinner aperitifs or nightcaps. Every element, from the art on the walls to the curated tea and tableware, reflects China Tang’s commitment to detail and distinction.
China Tang Dubai will be in good company at The Lana, Dorchester Collection. The hotel is already home to the modern Mediterranean restaurant, Riviera by Jean Imbert, Basque restaurant Jara from acclaimed chef Martín Berasategui and chef Angelo Musa’s Bonbon Café.
