The dinners take place at DUO Gastrobar and REIF Japanese Kushiyaki.
Two of Dubai’s homegrown brands are coming together. FACT Dining Award-winning Chef Reif Othman and DUO Gastrobar’s Chef Dmitrii Blinov are launching a two-part, four-hands dinner. The event will take place at DUO Dubai Hills on 9 October, and at REIF Japanese Kushiyaki on 6 November.
Guests can expect a six-course menu with dessert, co-created by both kitchens. The special menu will feature three dishes from each chef, along with curated cocktails in exchange – DUO Gastrobar serving Reif’s drinks, and REIF Japanese Kushiyaki serving DUO’s.
Friend of FACT, Reif Othman, explained: “I’ve always believed collaborations bring out the best in chefs. This one is about playfulness, respect for ingredients, and surprising diners. I’ve admired what Dmitrii and his team have built at DUO, and I’m looking forward to putting our flavours side by side for Dubai diners.”
Dmitrii added: “When I first moved to Dubai, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki was one of the very first restaurants I visited, and I was truly impressed by the flavours and by Chef Reif’s work. I am deeply grateful and incredibly excited for this collaboration – it is an honour to create something together and to share the table with chefs of such a world-class level.”
REIF Japanese Kushiyaki is a FACT award-winning concept that showcases Japanese cuisine. Specialising in kushiyaki, it offers a twist on Japanese comfort food. Founded in 2023 by Chef Dmitrii Blinov, DUO blends fine dining standards with a casual atmosphere. The restaurant celebrates European cuisine with Mediterranean and Asian touches.
The Reif Othman and Dmitrii Blinov dinner starts from AED 425 per person. Guests will also have the option of three cocktail pairings at an additional AED 150, or à la carte beverages.
