The new concept includes fun flavoured lattes and matcha.

It’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. HALFCUP Dubai has arrived in the emirate all the way from London, United Kingdom. Located in Business Bay, the new café serves breakfast, brunch and, of course, cups of coffee.

HALFCUP was born in London and can be found in King’s Cross and Farringdon. In 2014, it opened its first venue on Judd Street, King’s Cross. The team started with one person and has now grown to 30 people. In 2019, it opened its second branch in Bart’s Square, Farringdon.

Now, HALFCUP is making its first international expansion by opening in Dubai. Look out for the big, bold sign outside stating coffee, and the serene lake by the entrance. Inside, the café boasts a muted, minimalist vibe with browns, beiges and whites.

Founder Kumari Morar explained: “At HALFCUP, we believe in the quiet value of just enough. A polite gesture, a humble pause – an invitation to slow down and be present. Our space is shaped for stillness amid the city’s rhythm, where every coffee is poured with care, every meal made with intention, and time is never hurried. It’s not about having more, but about savouring what’s here – even if it’s only half a cup.”

The drinks menu at HALFCUP Dubai includes freshly brewed coffee, juices, and signature sips. The coffees include an Affogato, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Macchiato and V60. Chocolate drinks include a classic Hot Chocolate and the cutely titled Chockies, which comes with cookies.

Lattes come in fun flavours including Dirty Chai, Golden Turmeric, Spirulina and Ube. Matchas come in creative concoctions, including Caramel Out, Iced Blueberry Jam Matcha, Iced Strawberry Matcha, and Matcha Coconut Cloud. Plus, the food menu spans breakfast bowls, brioche sandwiches, and egg dishes.
