The Aegean-inspired restaurant confirms a Dubai outpost on Palm Jumeirah.
Dubai’s dining scene rarely pauses, and the latest arrival comes with a proven following. After a strong debut in Abu Dhabi, AVLU is heading to Dubai with a second location scheduled to open early next year at East Palm Views on Palm Jumeirah. The concept first made waves at Yas Mall earlier this year, where its relaxed elegance and coastal flavours drew steady crowds. Now, the team is set to recreate that appeal for Dubai diners while adding a few touches tailored to the city.
Conceived by Bishop Design, one of the region’s most respected studios, the space steps away from the classic blue-and-white aesthetic often associated with Aegean venues. Instead, the interior draws on the warm light of the Mediterranean, with soft off-white tones layered with citrus accents, pale yellows, mosaics, hand-painted murals, and organic textures.
AVLU’s culinary direction brings the shores of Greece and Türkiye to the table. At the centre of the culinary experience is a live barbecue grill, supported by an expanded seafood selection, a theatrical fish display, and a dedicated steak program featuring US Prime and Wagyu cuts. Turkish kebabs and an extensive range of cold and hot mezze complete the lineup.
The menu from Culinary Director Olcay Hanci balances familiarity with finesse, using high-quality produce and olive oil sourced from the Aegean to anchor the flavours. Signatures include Grilled Greek Octopus with a clean, smoky finish, Salt-Cooked Wild Seabass that locks in moisture and minerality, and Slow-Cooked Turkish Lamb Shoulder. Plant-forward options are well represented, with the Aubergine Millefeuille offering richness without feeling heavy.
The licensed Dubai location will also add a lifestyle layer, with live DJ programming planned to match the terrace’s sunset views and marina backdrop. The sun-washed aesthetic and a confident Aegean menu position the restaurant as a timely addition to Palm Jumeirah’s evolving culinary landscape.
