The famed Avenue Montaigne brasserie will launch at Fashion Avenue with front-row views of the Dubai Fountain.

Dubai is never short on big-name restaurant openings, but this one comes with serious Parisian pedigree. L’Avenue, the brasserie born on Avenue Montaigne, is officially making its way to the emirate, with a new outpost set to open at Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue in February. Better yet, it’s landing in one of Downtown’s most coveted dining spots, with front-row views of the Dubai Fountain.

In Paris, L’Avenue has long been considered a power-lunch institution, famous for its clientele as much as its cuisine. It’s a place synonymous with “elegance, glamour and people-watching”, where fashion insiders and celebrities linger over lunch, and where the atmosphere is as curated as the menu. The original has welcomed everyone from models and designers to A-listers, with names like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna reportedly spotted at the tables. If Dubai’s track record is anything to go by, expect the same energy.

While details of the L’Avenue Dubai space are still under wraps, all signs point to a restaurant that will mirror the mood of the Parisian original. Expect elegant interiors, a terrace designed for those fountain views, and a “Parisian vibe” that leans into the city’s love of dining as theatre.

Food-wise, L’Avenue Dubai may be rooted in classic French brasserie tradition, but it’s far from predictable. The menu blends French staples with Mediterranean touches and international influences, making it equally suited to long lunches, late dinners, and everything in between. Dishes are expected to span from spicy tuna tartare with avocado and porcini mushroom omelette to black truffle risotto, creamy morel rigatoni and foie gras. Mains look set to include veal chops, Thai-spiced beef tenderloin and crispy duck, with seafood options such as lobster pasta, sea bass and steamed salmon. For those who like to do things properly, there’s even Imperial French caviar served with mashed potatoes.

Desserts keep things indulgent, with mini molten chocolate cakes, éclairs and pavlova among the highlights, alongside a broader selection designed for sharing, lingering, and ordering “just one more”.

Behind the concept is Costes Group, one of France’s most influential hospitality names, known for creating restaurants at the intersection of food, fashion, design and culture. It’s a group that has mastered the art of the “see-and-be-seen” dining experience, and Dubai, with its appetite for glamorous openings and destination restaurants, feels like a natural next chapter.
