Richoux first opened in London in 1909.

Richoux, the French restaurant, is expanding from London to the Middle East. Scheduled to open in 2026, the concept will be coming to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. And, the openings have been created in partnership with the Big Belly Hospitality Group.

Established in 1909 by Monsieur Richoux, the original restaurant was housed on the esteemed Baker Street. The restaurant offers French culinary classics and international dishes, all inspired by Parisian café culture.

After announcing its return to London this September on Regent Street, and a second site at Tower Bridge, the restaurant is now expanding. So far, we know that the restaurant will be coming to Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Richoux

These branches follow Richoux’s closure after an unsuccessful 18-month run in Piccadilly, London. Covid-related closures also impacted the brand, prompting it to permanently shut down its locations in London, Chislehurst and Port Solent.

Richoux already operates a highly successful restaurant in Oman, and the team expects its international venture to prove popular. The global rollout, in partnership with BBR, aims to build lasting relationships with new locations and clientele under its new ownership.

If Richoux’s sister menus are anything to by, diners are in for a treat. Dishes on the Oman menu include Beef Fillet Carpaccio, Chicken Paillard, Croque Monsieur, French Onion Soup, Lamb Pavé, Richoux Chopped Chicken Salad, Steak Frites. We don’t know the specifics of the Saudi and UAE menus, but it is likely to feature French classics.

Big Belly Hospitality have managed and developed homegrown brands, and have successfully done so for several restaurants globally. Its portfolio includes Bombay Bungalow, Allo Beirut, Steak Frites, and Patty&Bun.
