Ras Al Khaimah’s dining scene climbs to new heights with the arrival of Red Rock BBQ, a contemporary mountain restaurant perched on the dramatic slopes of Jebel Jais. The restaurant from RIKAS Hospitality Group showcases fire cooking with ingredient-led flavours, all framed by sweeping views from the UAE’s highest peak.
Promising to elevate the culinary landscape to new heights — quite literally — Red Rock is imagined as a destination where nature and gastronomy meet. The space has been designed to mirror its surroundings, with warm, tactile finishes and a palette inspired by rock, sky, and flame. Sunlit lunches ease into golden hour cocktails and atmospheric dinners, as the mountains shift through shades of pink and charcoal outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.

At the heart of the experience is fire. The menu focuses on locally sourced produce that takes inspiration from Ras Al Khaimah’s geology and flora, ember-roasted meats, and smoke-kissed dishes, developed under the direction of Chef Iker Zapata Errasti. “At Red Rock, we wanted to create more than a meal. We wanted every visit to be a journey that immerses guests in Ras Al Khaimah’s extraordinary landscape, while celebrating the artistry and theatre of flame-led cooking,” says Nazli Sonmez Vallee, Chief Brand Officer at RIKAS Hospitality Group. “From the open-fire culinary experience to the mountain-inspired interiors, every detail has been carefully considered to delight the senses.”

The new Jebel Jais eatery will be a partnership between RAK Leisure and RIKAS Hospitality Group. Parisian entrepreneur Rizwan Kassim is the driving force behind RIKAS Hospitality Group, known for popular dining destinations such as Gigi Rigolatto, Lana Lusa, Mimi Kakushi, Ninive, Twiggy and XU.
