Sip Song has landed at Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, bringing a riot of Thai flavour, colour and character to one of Dubai Marina’s most high-energy beachfront hotels.
The latest concept from Sunset Hospitality Group was born in Hong Kong and is now finding a new home in the UAE. The name Sip Song translates to twelve in Thai, a nod to the dozen essential ingredients that sit at the heart of the country’s cooking. The menu celebrates the balance of spicy, sweet, sour and salty flavours that define Thailand’s most-loved dishes.
Signature plates include Tropical Papaya Salad, which brings a bright, zesty kick; Thai Thigh Chicks, which deliver comfort with a playful twist; and Mango Stick-With-Me Rice, a sweet-and-sticky finale that feels like a holiday in dessert form.
The same spirit runs through the cocktail list. Classics are reworked with a Thai accent, from the Tom-Yumatini, inspired by the iconic hot-and-sour soup, to the Sip Negroni, which swaps in coconut-washed gin and roasted rice flour for extra depth. Sips and bites are designed to play off each other, creating an experience that feels familiar but never predictable.
Neon signage, patterned tiles, and trailing greenery create a space that feels tropical yet urban, while a colourful central bar anchors the room. Walls dressed with nostalgic Thai motifs, noodle packets and flickering lights nod to the Bangkok after-dark scene.
