This season, that spotlight falls on Son of a Fish, a homegrown concept from Addmind Hospitality that has opened as part of the new Harbour House destination at Bar du Port. The restaurant pays homage to the Athenian Riviera while remaining distinctly rooted in Dubai’s pace and style.
Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the dining room in natural light. The design pays homage to the Greek coastline, with woven rattan chairs, rustic wooden details, and whitewashed accents combining to create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Outside, a spacious terrace overlooks the water, making the space equally appealing for lingering lunches, sunset cocktails, or intimate dinners. Whether you’re seeking a simple coffee and pastry before a day on the beach or a leisurely seafood feast under the stars, the setting is designed to deliver.
Seafood takes centre stage on the menu. Drawing inspiration from Greece’s rich fishing heritage, Son of a Fish balances tradition and innovation. The day’s catch will be displayed on ice, allowing guests to select their fish before it’s cooked to order. Dishes range from classic Greek recipes, such as Grilled Octopus with lemon and capers, or Charred Sea Bass with wild herbs, to globally inspired creations that fuse Mediterranean techniques with broader flavours. Many plates are designed for sharing, encouraging a family-style dining experience. A considered beverage list includes Greek wines, cocktails and fresh juices.
Inspired by the Athenian Riviera, Son of a Fish nods to the spirit of early Greek fishermen while speaking to a new generation. To complete the ambience, DJs and live performers will provide a soundtrack as the sun goes down, turning the restaurant into a lively evening destination.
