The Festival of Lights returns on Monday, 20 October 2025, ushering in five days of rituals and revelry that honour the triumph of light over darkness. Expect homes and courtyards aglow with diyas, vibrant rangoli at doorways, tables laden with festive feasts, and gifts shared with family and friends. From elevated tasting menus to designer sweets, here’s how to celebrate Diwali in Dubai.

Jamavar Dubai

Jamavar Dubai partners with Good Earth India to present Diwali: A Feast in Chahar Bagh, a weeklong celebration that unites food, fragrance, florals and design. Inspired by the fabled paradise gardens, the FACT award-winning Indian restaurant is transformed into a living tableau of peace, beauty and abundance. Culinary Director Surender Mohan has created a four-course menu featuring Kid Goat Shami Kebab, Murgh Nihari with saffron pulao, and breads. Dessert is a cardamom-laced Gajrela. AED 395 per person.

Celebrate Diwali with a traditional thali at Mausam. Choose vegetarian or non-vegetarian options, each ending with a celebratory mithai platter. Highlights include Kolhapuri Tambda Rassa, Nilgiri Murgh Kurma, and Gosht Yakhani Pulao, as well as White Asparagus and Edamame Kofta, Malai Paneer Khurchan, and Subz Dum Biryani, all served with bread, raita, and Dal Makhni. This Diwali, Pincode by celebrity chef Kunal Kapur taps into nostalgia with a playful Diwali Menu made for sharing and storytelling. Expect smart takes on classic flavours, from Avocado 5 Spice Puchka and Masala Kanjivada to Indori-style Bhutte Ki Kachori. For a sweet finish, the Mewa Paakh Dryfruit Caramel Tart, crowned with smoked anjeer ice cream, nods to Diwali’s dessert traditions. The ever-popular Punjab Grill marks Diwali with a festive menu that blends heritage and modern finesse. Available at Anantara Downtown Dubai and The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, the celebration includes a complimentary chef’s dessert on 20 October.
