BLU Dubai continues its run of stellar nightlife performances from the world’s biggest talents.
If the tracks “Body“ and “I Dunno” get you moving, you’ll be pleased to hear that Tion Wayne will perform live at BLU Dubai this Thursday.
Dennis Junior Odunwo, better known by his stage name Tion Wayne, is a British rapper, DJ, and songwriter who has been making waves in the UK’s drill scene. Born in Edmonton, North London, in 1993, Tion Wayne developed a love for music at a young age and began DJing and producing beats in his teens.
Tion Wayne’s career began to take off in the early 2010s when he started releasing music online and collaborating with other up-and-coming artists. He gained recognition for his catchy hooks, energetic flows, and ability to blend diverse genres, including rap, grime, and Afrobeats.
In 2019, Tion Wayne scored chart success with the single “Options” featuring NSG, which peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. This was followed by a string of hit collaborations, including “Keisha & Becky” with Russ Millions and “Houdini” with KSI.
In 2021, Tion Wayne achieved his biggest hit with the single “Body” featuring Russ Millions. The song reached number 1 on the UK Singles Chart, making it the first UK drill song to top the chart. The success of the song solidified Tion Wayne’s status as one of the UK’s hottest young rappers.
Tion Wayne will bring his mix of rap and grime to BLU Dubai this weekend. Expect catchy hooks, energetic flows and (hopefully) a rendition of “Healing,” a track that currently has over 27 million streams on YouTube.
BLU Dubai is famous for its celebrity shows. Recent acts include Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Kanye West, M Huncho and YG. It recently expanded from clubs to hotels, with the opening of the BLU Oasis resort.
