Cloud 22 sky pool at Atlantis The Royal is now open to outside guests

You no longer have to stay at the resort to discover what makes this sky pool so decadent.

Once exclusively accessible for the lucky guests of Atlantis The Royal, Cloud 22 is now welcoming external guests – tourists and residents alike – to discover everything that makes it so decadent. Winner in the Best Swimming Pool category at the FACT Spa & Wellness Awards UAE 2023, this stylish sky pool is famed for its sweeping views over Palm Jumeirah, the city skyline, and the Arabian Gulf. It soars 96 metres in the air, after all. But there’s more.

Cloud 22

Steeped in extravagance, Cloud 22 is also perfect for sky-high drinks enjoyed alongside Mediterranean cuisine. As the sun dips below the horizon, the vibe becomes that much more electrifying, the twinkling lights burst to life and the music goes up a notch. Not only does the venue feature 60 sun loungers and 15 floating beds, but also 11 private cabanas and a two-storey VVIP cabana. As for the highlight? The Duplex Cabana with AC, which houses two lounge rooms, a private bathroom, a stunning private pool, a suspended plunge pool, and uninterrupted views of the landscape below.

Those looking to indulge during their visit can look forward to light and fresh Mediterranean bites that are perfect for sharing. Guests are welcome to dine poolside or opt for a relaxed, sit-down meal within the heart of Cloud 22. At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Serhat Meci, his signatures include locally sourced smoked salmon and cream cheese caviar flatbread, Gillardeau oysters, Wagyu sliders, and strawberry cheesecake. The beverage menu, meanwhile, includes much-loved signatures such as The Cloud, that’s centred in Tanqueray gin.

Cloud 22

Designed by the award-winning GA Group, the playful décor of Cloud 22 includes six acrylic ‘trumpets’ that adorn the sky pool, bringing a touch of nature to the great heights of the resort. At over five metres tall, they’re topped by 110 flowers comprising of three parts, resulting in 330 individually handblown pieces of glass. Staying true to the sky pool’s name, each trumpet is surrounded by a vapour cloud, which swirls around the flowers from day to night. Cloud 22 is also home to a Lotus Bar, inspired by the shape of a lotus leaf. Featuring a white steel structure that’s 16 metres high and 26 metres wide from point to point, it boasts a swim-up bar perfect for sundowners.
