The 2024 edition of the Dubai Comedy Festival will see Mo Gilligan take to the stage at Dubai Opera. This British stand-up comedian's journey to global success began in 2017, fueled by years of sharing comedy clips on social media as a hobby. He later co-hosted the chat show "The Big Narstie Show," which debuted in 2018. With a unique approach to British culture, Mo Gilligan seamlessly weaves through various comedic genres, including grime comedy, physical comedy, and musical comedy. Anticipate a performance that promises a multifaceted range of humour on the stage.

Experience a culinary collab
Continuing Grégoire Berger's line-up of world-class culinary collaborations, the acclaimed chef behind the FACT Award-winning Restaurant of the Year 2023, Ossiano, will unite with the Torres brothers. Paying homage to seasonality and world-class produce, Grégoire Berger brings his modernist flair, inspired by global travels, while the Torres brothers infuse their Catalan roots and childhood memories into every dish of this 10-course menu. Expect barbecued crab with chorizo and mussels, macadamia cream with pea meringue and asparagus, and sea urchin with white shrimp and seaweed bread. Available on 19 and 20 April, from 6pm. See The Kid Laroi live in Dubai
Australian rapper The Kid Laroi is coming to Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena on 19 April. The Kid Laroi started off by uploading music onto SoundCloud and signed a development deal with Sony Music Australia. His singles include Addison Rae, Diva, Go, Thousand Miles, Without You, and Stay, a collaboration with Justin Bieber. Over his career, he has collaborated with Miley Cyrus and Tokyo's Revenge. Tickets for The Kid Laroi are on sale now via Platinumlist and start from AED 195.

Experience a night of 90s nostalgia
Nineties kids, we have a musical treat for you. The 90s Baby Festival in Dubai brings together the biggest stars from the decade. The line-up includes Boyzlife (a mash-up of Boyzone and Westlife), Five, Liberty X, N. Trance and Phats & Smalls. The event takes place at Earth Terrace Jumeirah Golf Estates, and tickets are available now. Expect to hear the tracks Flying Without Wings, Just A Little, Set You Free and Slam Dunk (Da Funk).

Unwind at Uchi
Uchi is a swanky Japanese-inspired bar and restaurant in DIFC and the perfect location for a weekend of dining. The restaurant's Saturday evening offer serves a selection of Chef Ciprian's signature dishes, including broccolini tempura, lobster soba and Wagyu gyoza. Party with Central Cee at SKY2.0
British rapper Central Cee is bringing his combination of drill and grime music to the UAE. The star has announced that he will be performing at SKY2.0 in Dubai Design District. In 2020, he released the singles Day in the Life and Loading. In 2021, his mixtape Wild West reached number two in the UK Albums Chart. Plus, his chart-topping hits include Doja and Sprinter, a collaboration with fellow UK rapper Dave. AED 500 tickets include three drinks, while bar stool tickets require a minimum spend of AED 1,000.

Try the Robuchon roast
L'Atelier Robuchon has recently launched its weekend roast. Set within the stylish ambience of this DIFC dining room, the feast commences with an array of starters, showcasing signature dishes such as beef tartare, burrata, le pate en croute and sea bream carpaccio. For the main course, diners can savour half bresse chicken marinated in herbs de province, whole roasted milk-fed lamb shoulder or whole sea bass grilled to perfection. Concluding the weekend of dining, guests can delight in the timeless elegance of creme caramel or the refreshing simplicity of Tahiti vanilla ice cream. Experience Hattem Mattar's Fiya
Friend of FACT, chef Hattem Mattar has been making a name for himself as the UAE's BBQ master and has now opened Fiya inside the Keturah Reserve. Fiya showcases Hattem's signature BBQ skills, which earned him the title of the first Arab pitmaster. The community eatery puts fire-based cooking at its heart, with the open-concept grill being the only one of its kind in Dubai. The meat is the star of the show, cooked over four main fires, surrounded by a unique olive tree environment that gives a feeling of being completely at one with the natural surroundings.
