The latest edition of Hatta Festival returns to Leem Lake with outdoor adventures, creative workshops and community experiences
Prepare to go on a road trip because the enchanting town of Hatta is gearing up for a spectacular transformation. The Hatta Festival 2024 promises a magical blend of lights, fireworks, and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Taking over the three-hectare Leem Lake waterfront until 28 December 2025, the festival showcases Hatta as one of the emirate’s most scenic outdoor getaways. An array of neon lights, fairy lights, candles, and enchanting decorations will turn this location into a whimsical wonderland. However, the real showstopper will be the breathtaking fireworks that will illuminate the Hatta sign every weekend.
Throughout the festival, Wadi Hub at Hatta Resorts will be buzzing with entertainment for all ages. On the ground, the festival is designed as an immersive family playground. Community activities include Cooking and Camping, which pairs alfresco cooking with nights under the stars in the Hatta mountains, and Star Photography, a workshop introducing the basics of astrophotography. Traditional Life in Hatta Farms gives children a hands-on look at heritage ways of life.
Dedicated children’s zones feature creative workshops, educational stations and skill-based games. For the first time, a mini zoo introduces little ones to friendly animals such as ponies, gazelles, goats, parrots and rabbits, creating interactive and educational moments.
The entrance area sets a playful tone with oversized versions of classic board games, including chess, checkers, Connect Four, and Snakes and Ladders, making it a nostalgic stop for parents and a discovery zone for kids. The Winter Games Zone raises the adrenaline with a human crane challenge, bungee jumping, bumper cars and large-scale skill games suited to different age groups. A new Hatta-themed Escape Room invites visitors to solve puzzles inspired by the area’s heritage and landscapes, encouraging teamwork in an atmospheric setting.
Overlooking Leem Lake, outdoor workshops led by local creatives offer arts and crafts sessions inspired by Hatta’s environment, from its mountains to its farms. With more than 150 sessions planned, the area serves as a constantly buzzing creative hub.
This year, 30 ventures are taking part, with half led by Hatta residents. From food and desserts to locally produced goods, these homegrown businesses are using the Proudly from Dubai platform to showcase their products, meet new customers and grow their brands. Their presence underlines the festival’s goal of empowering small and medium enterprises in Hatta and creating fresh opportunities for local talent. The lineup also welcomes Home Bakery, one of Dubai’s favourite bakeries and cafés, known for its fresh, homestyle desserts that are especially popular with families.
For those seeking an escape, Hatta Resorts is offering exclusive glamping experiences, providing a unique opportunity to immerse in the natural beauty of Hatta. Adventure enthusiasts will find a haven with activities such as archery, axe throwing, zipline and much more.
