Located atop The Lana – Dorchester Collection, the Dior Spa promises bespoke body and facial treatments for those who like to splurge.

In a city like Dubai – where luxury is a competitive sport – spa menus are endless. From traditional hammams to sky-high sanctuaries, indulgence is the norm. But few names carry the weight, mystique and global adoration of Dior. After booking an AED 1,300 treatment, we were eager to find out if it was worth the splurge.

The House of Dior is known for choosing its addresses carefully, so it’s no surprise that its Dubai outpost sits inside the beautiful The Lana – Dorchester Collection. Located on the 29th floor, the Dior Spa feels perfectly elevated — literally and metaphorically. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the skyline, with the Burj Khalifa standing tall.

Inside Dior Spa, the atmosphere is cocooning yet contemporary. The design is soft, with neutral tones and subtle detailing that quietly nod to Christian Dior without feeling overdone. The moment you step off the elevator, the scent of Dior fragrances envelops you with a mix of floral and musky notes that instantly sets a luxurious tone. The reception features an ivory, textured couch adorned with Dior cushions, where you’re served a welcome drink and a cold towel.

The Dior Spa houses five treatment rooms and a couple’s suite. Each room comes with its own relaxation area, with many offering views of the Burj Khalifa. Privacy is taken seriously, and every space includes its own changing and shower areas. Interestingly, each treatment room is named after significant locations and moments in the House of Dior’s history, adding an extra layer of storytelling to the experience.

Both facial and body treatments are available, inspired by the Dior Prestige range.  But securing a treatment here is no small feat. It took me two years to get a slot, highlighting just how exclusive this space is. And while I usually gravitate toward a massage over anything else, choosing a facial here felt like the most fitting decision.

I opted for the 60-minute Kobi-Dior facial treatment. This sculpting ritual is inspired by the Japanese Kobido technique and reimagined through Dior. From the very first touch, it felt less like a facial and more like a carefully choreographed ceremony.

The 16-step ritual began with multiple stages of cleansing that alone felt indulgent enough to be a treatment. Each layer melted into the next without interruption. Despite its sculpting focus, nothing felt harsh or forceful, and there was no sense of someone tugging or battling with my skin. Instead, every movement was controlled and firm when needed, but never overwhelming.

What I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail in areas that are often overlooked. An eye serum was carefully pressed in using light movements, finished off by a nourishing lip mask that felt both soothing and luxurious. It made the experience feel comprehensive rather than surface-level.

I lay slightly elevated beneath the weighted Dior blankets that wrapped me in warmth, keeping my feet toasty and my body completely relaxed. At some point, I drifted into that in-between state of sleep and awareness. When I finally opened my eyes, my reflection revealed smoother, brighter skin. But more noticeably, my face felt fresh as if layers of tension had been released — which I guess, it had.

What made the entire experience memorable wasn’t just the glow, but the feeling that everything had been considered. It wasn’t a rushed, conveyor-belt facial but rather more tailored and intentional. Priced at AED 1300, this treatment is definitely an indulgence, but one that feels justified by the technique, expertise, and the visible results.

The Dior Spa manages to capture the rare balance between heritage and modernity. With the refinement of Paris woven into Dubai’s glamour, this institution offers a polished, elevated and transformative experience. So if you’re going to splurge, you may as well do it somewhere that understands luxury not just as a label, but as an experience.
